Physics Meets Biology 2008http://www.iop.org/Conferences/Forthcoming_Institute_Conferences/PMB2008/event_26824.html Biologically inspired Physics is an extraordinarily wide field, covering systems that vary in scale from single molecular machines to organisms and even ecosystems. Physics Meets Biology will provide a broad view of the most recent and exciting research across a broad range of topics, including: signalling, control, noise; molecular motors and cyto-skeletal mechanics; biomolecular self-assembly; bionanotechnology and biomolecular electronics and photonics. The conference is organised around an international programme of invited speakers and will include contributed talks and poster sessions. Its state-of-the-art research coverage is designed to inform experts of the latest developments; it will also provide a valuable introduction to biophysical research for junior researchers, including graduate students. Physics Meets Biology is the inaugural conference of the Biological Physics Group of the Institute of Physics. Organiser: the Biological Physics Group of the Institute of Physics Contact details |
